ALL EYES ON RAFAH

Hi folks! Back again with me, RN. Today, I want to share something a bit different and heavier than usual, hopefully you'll like it!



Rafah is the southernmost region in Gaza which borders the Sinai peninsula in Egypt. Rafah is a refuge for millions of refugees from other areas of Gaza to escape Israeli attacks.

So, what does All Eyes on Rafah mean ? All Eyes on Rafah is a call for the world community to pay attention to what is happening in Rafah and cannot ignore what is happening in Rafah.

Summarized from the PantherNOW page , the call for All Eyes on Rafah emerged when Israel attacked Rafah in February 2024. 

Then, Palestinian supporters began chanting All Eyes on Rafah after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his troops would advance on Rafah, a city where some 1.4 million Palestinians sought refuge, and mourned the lives of Palestinian children who had died. to date.

In addition, All Eyes on Rafah also depicts the tensions in the city whose fate may be determined by the success or failure of negotiations mediated by Egypt, the US and Qatar regarding a possible ceasefire agreement, including the release of the remaining Israeli hostages by Hamas. 

Along with the release of Palestinian prisoners imprisoned by Israel.

The hashtag All Eyes on Rafah became even more intense when the media was only busy paying attention to and documenting the Met Gala which was being held. 

People feel annoyed because in the midst of endless tragedy, destruction and death, again and again they only focus on the stage to show off that they have money and power over other people's suffering, and do not have the slightest sympathy for the tragedies that are happening. 

So I'm here to remind you not to get too carried away by the Met Gala phenomenon and remember what our brothers and sisters in Palestine are facing.
